Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy

At St Columba’s we have a full-time Chaplain, who is called to be witness of the love and care of God and his Church for our school community. The vision of Chaplaincy held by St Columba’s is rooted in Gospel values.

Our Chaplain, Fred Umney, encourages the St Columba’s community to recognise the presence of God in their own lives; in the lives of those people around them; in the world in which they live and in particular in the situations in which they find themselves.

He helps us to recognise and respond to the presence of God in the celebration of Mass, in assemblies, in times of prayer, on retreats and throughout the Catholic ethos and atmosphere of St Columba’s.

Bible verse of the day

Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty— he is the King of glory.
